Science and technology parks, as a socio-economic institution in the development of technology and job creation for presence of professionals in technology companies, have an influential role and position in developing countries.

East Azerbaijan Science and Technology Park, in order to achieve the mentioned goals, relying on the faith and self-confidence of researchers, technologists and youth of the province, has put the implementation of the following programs on its agenda:

• Increasing the cooperation of the park with other science and technology parks and foreign firms inside and outside the country, especially in neighboring countries, in order to develop the export of knowledge-based goods and services
• Increasing constructive interactions with the province's universities, effective cooperation with institutions and organizations to realize the province's macro-plans;
• Increasing the park's participation in national and international projects
• Increasing the role of the park in solving provincial problems and issues such as industrial problems, social harms and environmental protection;
• Identify capable researchers and young people with new ideas and support them to carry out great missions to for the country;
• Facilitating international investment in knowledge-based projects and R&D activities.
